Learning to TwistHow can I learn to twist balloons? Absolutely! I've found twisting balloons, though a strange and funny skill at first, to be extremely rewarding. I have met and connected with hundreds of people through the medium of balloons, which seems to trancend language, age and culture. I plan on expanding this site to include specific instructions, but meanwhile, here are some quick starter tips: I recommend going to your local party store, and asking for 260 balloons, the Qualatex brand. You'll overpay about double, but that's okay to start. You can order in bulk later. Don't buy no-name brand balloons from any old store, they will pop easily and you'll end up disappointed. Purchase a small Qualatex booklet on basic figures. (Steps 1 and 2 can be purchased online if you're web-savvy) Purchase a balloon pump from your party store, or any store that has a party aisle. Trying to mouth-inflate from Day 1 is a bad idea. Come back to this site, as I'll soon be posting pictures, instructions, techniques and tips. Send me photos of your creations! balloons@craigdossantos.com |
